XtremeTerrain: Share with us a little about yourself…
Andy Bennett:
Andy Bennett here, I am married to the love of my life Melissa. We have 4 children, 20-18-16-5, two girls two boys. I have been a Project Manager for 11 years now, sewer inspection and cleaning company AUILLC.
XtremeTerrain: What type of Jeep do you run?
Andy Bennett: I wheel 92 YJ, sprung over plus 4 inches; locked front and rear, full cage; 9000 lbs warn; 36 inch Swampers; and 4.88 gears. I am in the process of doing a full width axle swap and hopefully 39-inch tires. I run with a stock 2.5 – 4 banger and love to hear it at 6000RMP while heating up tires on the rocks, sye- tom woods shafts.
XtremeTerrain: What was your best/worse modification if any?
Andy Bennett: Best modification was building own ladder bar for rear axle wrap; new 4.88 gears were tearing everything up. lol! Worse mounting would have to be the highlift jack on the side of the body; didn’t make it one ride.
XtremeTerrain: Do you belong to any off roading organization, if so which one(s)?
Andy Bennett: I’m a member of 5 clubs: Southern 4 Wheel Drive Ass. , United 4 Wheel Drive Ass.; Cumberland Off-road; Georgia Trail Runners; and my favorite, Damn Locals 4×4!!!
XtremeTerrain: How old were you when you first started off roading?
Andy Bennett: I was 20 when I got my first 4×4, a old beat-up 76 ford 150, using axles front it on my axle swap and have been off-roading ever since.
XtremeTerrain: Why you love Jeep Off Roading?
Andy Bennett: I love rock crawling and trail riding. It gives me an opportunity to spend time with both family and friends. I have met a lot of new friends in the sport.
XtremeTerrain: Any off roading story or incident you would like to share?
Andy Bennett: Best wheeling accident I have been involved in was rolling over in 2008 at 3 AM during the Dixie Run event. I got lucky because there was a tree close enough that I was able to winch back over using my own winch. All part of the fun!

Happy trails!!

I’ve tried the rocks a couple of times and I have to admit I prefer any other terrain. Rocks are pretty bone jarring and I guess I need a little fat on my body for insulation. I sure do like the mud, probably my favorite stomping grounds.
