Here is some information about Penobscot Valley 4-Wheel Drive from their official website: www.pv4wd.com.
The club is often referred to as PV4WD and is a group of Jeep owners. This non-profit group is simply a group of friends who enjoy the sport of offroading. They are very active in the fight to keep the sport legal and work to educate the public and to preserve the environment as much as possible. They are also very active in charity work, such as food drives.
Those who want to join will have to pay the annual member dues, which is $15 for a single screen name and $20 for two screen names. Usually this is when a couple want to be part of the club. The membership lasts for an entire year. There are stickers and decals that you can buy to add to your vehicle, and it is encouraged that those who join live in Penobscot County, as that is where most of the events take place, though there are members from other areas. All makes, models, and years of Jeeps are welcome.
You can register for the club right on the site, see how they ride, see members’ rigs, and even find youtube videos. There are club requirements listed; while this is an easy going club, there are still rules to follow and Jeeps need to be equipped a certain way. There is also a forum where members can connect to each other and a gallery. Check out their Facebook Group page too at Penobscot Valley 4-Wheel Drive.
