Florida is full of ways to be entertained, from water parks, beaches and theme parks there is something that will appeal to everyone.  It is also a great place for off-roading with many different parks to choose from, to make your decision easier we’re listing a few parks that may appeal to many Jeep drivers.

  • Tri-State Off Road Park – This off-road park is located off Highway 20 in Clarksville, Fl.    It offers Deep Mud Bog Holes and a Consistency Park.  Admission is $10 for adults and children 12 and under are free.  The park opens at 10 a.m. and closes at dusk.
  • Triple Canopy Ranch – Triple Canopy Ranch is located at 16950 County Road 630 Lake Wales, Fl.  The park has over 425 acres of trails, pits, circle track, obstacle course and a side by side track.  You can also camp at the park and get the most out of your visit, and if your Jeep should experience any trouble there is also an on-site vendor available for all of your repair needs.
  • Hard Rock Off Road Park – This park is located in Ocala, Fl. and boasts a section devoted to Jeeps and other off road vehicles.  The park is open seven days a week from 10 am – 5 pm.  Cost is $25 per day per vehicle.  Camping is also available for $20 per day with water and electrical hook-ups.  There are also hotels located nearby for those who would prefer not to camp onsite.
  • Revolution The Off Road Experience – Is located at 4000 State Road 33 Clermont, FL 34714.  It features 220 acres of great trails and attractions and even includes a private 65 acre Trophy Bass fishing lake.  Guided tours will take everyone from beginners to experienced drivers through trails.  This park has a lot to offer and even if you’re not into off-roading you can always enjoy the great fishing available.  Reservations are required to ensure that everyone has a great experience.

These are only a few of the many off-roading parks Florida has to offer, from what I’ve seen all of these parks look great and anyone who visits should find plenty of trails to explore and enjoy.  All of these parks offer great trails and other challenging courses for all Jeep drivers at any skill level.  If you would like more information on any of the parks listed above, please visit their websites.

Nichole S., a fan on the XtremeTerrain Facebook fanpage brought the South Florida Jeep Club to our attention so we could give them a shout out and hopefully we can help them a little more recognition and members.

The South Florida Jeep Club is a diverse group that enjoys wheeling, camping, traveling, and showing off with their Jeeps. They are a family friendly club and invite you to join them! The more the merrier!

History of South Florida Jeep Club
“The original Plantation Jeep Club was established in 1982 on the basis of mutual enjoyment of owning and using Jeep vehicles. The club was organized with the thought in mind that camping and four wheeling in a group is more fun and safer than going alone. CALOOSA JEEPERS
Caloosa Jeepers, based out of Florida is another Jeep lovers club. Their introduction on their home page is as unique as Jeep enthusiasts are and a great reflection of their spirit. “History of Our Club – It was a dark and stormy night, the tired jeepers held each other close in hungry desperation… Actually, to the best of our knowledge, it (the development of the club) was decided upon over a couple of cheese-burgers at Juicy Lucy’s.”

“February of 1998 Caloosa Jeepers was founded in order that the world could be a better place. A place where round and square head-lights alike could play together safely and share in the wonderful world of Jeep.”

I think this is a great representation of the feel of Jeepers around the world – fun loving, adventure seekers behind the wheel of a Jeep.

Here are some of the upcoming events that the Caloosa Jeepers are involved in:

Friday, October 30th. Haunted Swamp Ride in Bonita starting at 6:43 PM. Bring your Jeep dressed as your favorite water treading device!

Sunday, November 8th at 10 AM. Trail ride in Naples. Meeting at Publix corner of Rattlesnake Hammock and Collier Blvd.

Friday, November 13th at 7 PM Hockey Night w/ the Florida Everglades at Germaine Arena. Please email areites@embarqmail.com if you wish to attend, the greater the turn out, the bigger the discount!

Saturday, December 12th at 6 PM. Club Christmas party at Dave and Marie’s in Buckingham, BYOB, chairs, and a covered dish to share!

Saturday, January 16th at 9:30 AM. Club’s quarterly road clean-up!

If any of these events sound like fun to you, visit Caloosa Jeepers at http://www.caloosajeepers.com/id1.html or just pop in on any second Saturday of the Month at 7PM at the McDonalds on the corner of Metro Pkwy and Colonial Blvd in Ft. Myers, FL. They will be waiting!!!
