Mike and Debbie from Tennessee sent us in this great picture of their 1978 CJ-5. Debbie says “We don’t have a club, we just have a bunch of friends that get together. We love going jeepin’ & the deeper the rut or the rougher it is, the better he (my husband) likes it.” I am thinking Debbie, that he is not alone in that thought. Great picture you two and thanks for the submission!

That didn’t look like a rut, it looked like a drainage ditch. You slip into that one and you’ll need some help getting out. I’m sure he realizes that though. I’m always amazed at the beating the Jeeps can take.
That’s a great shot of a Jeep in action. At first I mistook the arm of the spotter off to the right as a tree limb, then I saw his shadow in the ravine.
I’ve steered clear of rock and ravines because I don’t want to mess up my paint job. I’m beginning to think I’m looking at the experience all wrong. It looks like I may be missing out on some serious fun.
After I showed this post to my girl, she agreed to go off road with me this weekend. She’s always telling me that Jeeps and off roading are guy things. Now, at least, she will be giving it a try. If I know her, and I believe I do, this will only be the first of many times that she will be going with me. I bet if I let her drive she’ll be stuck as hard as I am.
Work them shocks! That’s the great thing about Jeeps. They are so forgiving for the abuse you can dish out with them.
